Reducing Post surgical inflammation
A Research Driven Improvement
By using both our engineering and medical knowledge, we improved the way therapists have traditionally treated orthopedic patients suffering from pain and extensive post surgical inflammation of the upper and lower leg. By integrating our scientific background, we combined a few new but common sense techniques with existing therapy practices to dramatically reduce swelling in the first few days after surgery and thereby significantly speed up recovery.
Case Study - Using our advanced inflammation management techniques, an otherwise healthy 71 year old patient who had undergone a partial knee replacement procedure only used a walker for 3 days. On day 4 he switched to a cane, on day 5 he walked up stairs without any devices and on day 6 he was able to take an 8-mile bike ride averaging 5 minutes a mile. He returned to work part time on the seventh day after surgery.
